What do you need to know about PowderBrows?
8 MINUTES READ
Irregular eyebrow shape? Not enough density and volume? With semi-permanent eyebrow shading, full, symmetrically shaped eyebrows become part of everyday life.
Forget about daily drawing and discover a new beauty dimension. The Powder Brows technique is trendy because it makes beautiful eyebrows look entirely natural.
What is the PowderBrows method all about?
Micropigmentation is really a “big word” for a procedure where a micro-thin needle is used to introduce pigment into the surface layer of the skin to beautify and emphasize the face’s natural features. It is an ideal solution for those who want to be well-groomed at all times or to eliminate certain flaws and irregularities on the face. The technique of such drawing, in combination with shading in the background, gives a beautiful and soft shape to eyebrows. The possibility of combining two or three shades of pigment makes the eyebrows look even more realistic and natural.
After the treatment, you won’t need to apply and remove make-up every day, smudged make-up is something you can forget about, and you will always look younger and fresher, feel good in your skin, and radiate your natural beauty.
Powderbrows - how is it done?
What makes this method so unique and different from the others? With PowderBrows, you get a highly natural effect of filled and shaded eyebrows without strict contours and contrasts. It is a permanent or semi-permanent make-up technique, such as the microblading technique, but the procedure and final effect are different.
PowderBrows are made with the help of a special machine that performs hundreds of tiny punctures through which the pigment is introduced into the skin’s surface layers. The end result is filled eyebrows whose color intensity varies from a lighter root to a darker end of the eyebrow.
The procedure itself is not painful, and it doesn’t last long. First, we use PhiApp to map and calculate the perfect brow shape for your face structure. After that, we use a numbing cream, and we can start shading and creating your new perfect brows!
How long do PowderBrows last, and what about the corrections
The first mandatory correction is done after a month when the eyebrows are completely healed, and then you can refresh the color as needed, depending on how quickly it fades. Prepare for the fact that after the treatment, the eyebrows will look much darker and rougher than you imagined, which is entirely normal. This is because the pigment needs time to settle, just like the skin needs to form and shed scabs.
Many are most interested in how long after the treatment they are “calm” as far as eyebrows are concerned. First of all, this is very individual and depends on several factors, but generally, PowderBrows retains its full effect on average between 1 and 3 years, after which you might need a correction to refresh the color and shape. People with oilier skin or people who spend more time in the sun should prepare for the fact that their eyebrows will begin to fade faster.

How to do proper aftercare of PowderBrows?
It is crucial that after the treatment, you follow the advice and guidelines you received from your brow artist to avoid infections and achieve full effect. Swelling and redness will only be present for a few days, but that is not a sign to stop with your aftercare!
These are the guidelines you should follow during the “recovery” process until your brows are fully healed:
- Avoid touching the treated area with your fingers or getting it wet
- Do not scratch, rub, or try to remove the scaly layer of skin
- Use light and gentle movements to clean the skin with water and antibacterial soap
- It is not recommended to go for facial treatments during the recovery process
- Try not to apply makeup on the face, especially the region near the eyebrows
- Avoid sunbathing, sauna, jacuzzi, or going to the pool
- Do not apply anti-aging products to the treated area, as certain ingredients can cause the pigment to fade faster
It is recommended to use a cream with a protective factor after the eyebrows have fully recovered so that the sun does not accelerate the color-fading process.
